It promote respect for International humanitarian law, and respond to emergencies, often in cooperation with its local partner, the Philippine Red Cross.


Main Tasks:

The Cooperation Field Officer supports the hierarchy in the implementation of the joint cooperation activities between the ICRC and the Philippines Red Cross (PRC) to improve humanitarian response particularly in Mindanao area. He/She:


- Develops and maintains contacts with PRC chapters in the region and other networks (beneficiaries, local authorities, humanitarian organizations)
- Assumes main responsibilities for cooperation projects/programs independently within the sub-delegation in Mindanao
- Coordinates and monitors (including impact assessment) program implementation with the PRC Mindanao Chapters
- Extends support to PRC Chapters in implementing ICRC supported programs including PRC capacity building
- Coordinates with the other Red Cross Movement Partners (Federation, Participating National Societies) active within the region
- Updates regularly the management on RC Movement and Cooperation related issues
- Prepares written report
- Contributes to the budget preparation and follow-up

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Administration and Management or equivalent, with Master's Degree is an advantage
- Minimum four (4) years work experience in a similar field
- Familiar in Mindanao geographical areas and cultural context
- Very good communication skills (written and spoken English)
- Very good computer skills (MS Office: word, excel and power point)
- Very good analytical skills and has the ability to write reports
- Good working spirit and ability to work in an international and multi-disciplinary team
